Material and workmanship

The enamel colors are applied to the 925 sterling silver in several layers and fired at high temperatures – this permanently bonds them to the metal, ensuring they remain colorfast and resistant to daily use. The golden crown above the main star is gold-plated and just as permanently fixed. These spoons are created as part of the ArgentA range, which combines children's motifs with the symbolism of the crown. At SilberKosmos, we carefully curate this collection from the manufacturer's assortment – the piece is crafted there, not by us.

The collection

Royal Childhood is a standalone line within the ArgentA assortment: The golden crown accent is the connecting element of all spoons in this collection, whether on a star, a bear, or a child figure. The star spoon itself exists in two color variants – yellow-red and yellow-blue – which are identical in shape, size, and the laughing face of the main star, differing only in the third, smaller star. The golden gift box with crown ornament protects the spoon and makes it ready for gifting immediately.

Special features

Stars are among the most universal symbols in human history – they stand for dreams, wishes, guidance, and light in the darkness. In almost every culture, there is a tradition of making a wish upon seeing a shooting star, a custom taught to children from an early age. The large star with a crown tells the child: You are the center. The smaller stars below are companions – family, friends, people who shine beside them on their journey. And because this star is laughing, it removes the gravity from the grand symbol: Life can be light, and dreams can bring joy. In many cultures, a newborn is wished a personal lucky star to watch over them – this spoon makes that wish tangible.

Occasions and target groups

For a birth, this spoon is a cheerful welcome greeting with vibrant colors – the blue accent makes it particularly popular as a gift for boys, though the motif works in a gender-neutral way. For a baptism, engraved with a name and date, it becomes a keepsake filled with symbolism: the star as a guiding light for the child's life path. For a first birthday, it is a gift that goes beyond toys – something that lasts and grows with the child, while the laughing face of the star appeals directly to them. For godparents looking for a colorful gift with symbolic meaning. For grandparents who want to give their grandchild a tangible, radiant lucky star made of genuine silver. For parents looking for a spoon with character and color, where the blue star adds a fresh accent and the golden crown lends it elegance.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The back of the stem provides a smooth surface for a custom engraving – name, birth date, baptism date, or a short dedication. Contact us via our engraving service; we will advise you on placement, font, and text length. An engraved star spoon thus becomes a very personal message: This star shines for you. Upon request, we can also design an individual SilberVerse card in photo format, 15 x 10 cm in landscape, suited to the occasion and with your personal message. Each card is newly created for your occasion, free of charge, and can be ordered both with and without engraving.

Care

Clean the spoon by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry with a soft cotton cloth. Never treat enamel and gold plating with scouring agents, silver dips, or aggressive cleaning agents – they could damage the color layers and the gold plating. The spoon is not dishwasher safe. The included gift box is suitable for storage, as it protects against scratches and preserves the enamel colors.
