Material and Workmanship

The spoon is cast from solid 925 sterling silver and is hallmarked. The mosaic on the elephant's body is created in a multi-stage enamel process: Each color area — red, pink, dark blue — is applied separately and fired at a high temperature, ensuring that no shade blends with the next. The handle follows the organic line of the elephant's body and, due to its curved shape, fits naturally in the hand. The spoon bowl is smoothly polished.

Occasions and Target Groups

A 925 silver baby spoon with an enamel mosaic is among the gifts given for birth, baptism, and a first birthday. The elephant symbolizes strength, wisdom, and family cohesion, while flying represents dreams and fantasy. For parents looking for a color-coordinated gift for the birth of their daughter. For godparents who want to give a special, striking piece for a baptism. For grandparents who want to give both tradition and color.

Engraving and SilberVerse Card

The motif is embossed through — the stem does not offer a smooth surface for engraving. As a personal alternative, we offer a free, digitally designed SilberVerse card in photo format 15 × 10 cm (landscape format).

Care

Clean by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, dry with a soft cloth. For light patina, a silver polishing cloth is sufficient. The enamel surfaces are fired and permanently sealed but should not be treated with abrasive cleaners. Not dishwasher safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the elephant red-pink and not a single color?
The elephant consists of a mosaic of individually set enamel areas in red, pink, and dark blue — each area is applied and fired separately, a significantly more complex process than a simple color application.

Is this spoon only for girls?
The red-pink color scheme is traditionally chosen as a gift for girls, but the lively mosaic design suits any child. A gender-neutral alternative is the orange variant.

Can the spoon be engraved?
No. The motif is embossed through, so the stem does not offer a smooth surface for engraving. As a personal touch, we include the free SilberVerse card.
