Description
For families who prefer something bolder than standard baby pastels, this 925 sterling silver baby spoon features a red-purple hue that stands out. At the top of the handle sits a small bear head, followed by four colored dots and a sequence of fine silver bubbles – designed for grasping and tactile exploration long before the first spoonful of porridge is served.
For a birth
Bold color instead of pastel
Red-purple sets a distinct accent among the classic blue and pink tones of baby gifts.
View the DoDo Tactile CollectionRed-purple: a shade with character
The enamel plaque at the end of the handle depicts the bear head in a rich red-purple, finely outlined with a gold line on the ears and snout. Compared to soft pink or light blue, this tone feels much more present – an option for parents who want to consciously deviate from the norm when choosing a baby gift.
Tactile stimuli on the stem
Below the bear head are four small, individually fired color dots in succession: green, gold, white, and blue. Further down, the color gives way to a pattern of small, differently shaped elevations in the silver. This provides a baby's hand with several different sensations in a short space: smooth, round, slightly pointed, then smooth again.
Why the teddy bear motif is popular
Few motifs are as common in nurseries as the teddy bear – for generations, it has been a symbol of comfort and a carefree start to life.
Color alternative and the version without enamel
The exact same spoon is available in warm orange. On the other hand, our classic DoDo-Bear baby spoon features no color at all: it has the same bear figure, crafted entirely from polished silver, but includes space for an engraving that the enamel plaque here does not offer.
How to care for the spoon
A polishing cloth is sufficient for the shiny bowl of the spoon. The enamel surface itself prefers gentler care: wipe with a damp cloth and dry, avoiding cleaning agents. This keeps the color vibrant for a long time. As a general rule for baby silver: use in children's hands only under supervision.
