Material and Workmanship
A cartoon crab in red enamel sits on the spoon bowl — figurative, comic-like, with visible eyes and extended claws. The gold-plated Cancer symbol appears as a second element, the astrological code for adults. The handle features a relief embossing with two stars, two spherical ornaments, and subtle wavy line reliefs. There are two nubs on the outside of the bowl; the inside of the bowl is highly polished and oval, without enamel.
Occasions and Target Groups
For June and July children, whose birth falls in midsummer and the holiday season — outdoor baptisms, garden family celebrations. For parents looking for a birth gift that captures this exact period. For godparents and grandparents accompanying a summer baptism and looking for a suitable gift.
Engraving and SilberVerse Card
The back of the handle has a continuous relief embossing and is therefore not engravable. As a personal touch, we offer a free, digitally designed SilberVerse card in photo format 15 × 10 cm (landscape format) — with birth date, name, or a personal dedication.
Care Instructions
Clean the spoon by hand with warm water and mild dish soap — no dishwasher, as heat and aggressive cleaning agents can attack the red enamel. A soft silver polishing cloth is sufficient for shine. Slight color variations are not a defect, but part of the manufacturing technique.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which birthstone belongs to the Cancer zodiac sign?
Traditionally, Cancer is associated with ruby, moonstone, and pearl. No stone is incorporated into the spoon itself — the ruby red of the cartoon crab corresponds in color as a color signal.
How can the gift be made more personal?
Via the SilberVerse card, as the back of the handle has a continuous relief embossing.
How do I care for a silver baby spoon with enamel?
Clean by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, no dishwasher, no abrasive cleaners.
