Baby spoon 925 silver Capricorn zodiac sign — blue Capricorn, enamel

Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, Epiphany: anyone born between December 22 and January 20 is a Capricorn, and that includes the Christkindl date of December 25. This spoon, made of 925 sterling silver, features the sign in blue: a small enamel Capricorn at the top of the handle.

A Child Born on December 25 is a Capricorn

Parents and godparents often ask exactly that: Sagittarius or Capricorn? Sagittarius ends on December 21, and Capricorn begins on December 22. So anyone born on Boxing Day or New Year’s Eve also carries this sign, as do January babies born up to January 20. The birthstone, on the other hand, depends on the month: according to the standard list, January babies have garnet, while December babies born under Capricorn have a different stone. You can read more about this in the Capricorn: Character and Gift post.

Blue on Silver: the Little Capricorn

The Capricorn stands upright with small horns, and a blue spiral swirls beside it. Below sits the golden Capricorn sign, flanked by golden stars. On the handle, the latticed ball and raised reliefs catch the eye, while three tactile points are set in the bowl. It weighs approx. 25 g.

Steadfast, Patient, Determined

Capricorn is one of the earth signs, and its planet is Saturn. Its ancient archetype is the sea-goat, a mythical creature that is half goat and half fish. According to tradition, endurance, reliability and ambition are its defining traits. For a baby, this is more of a wish than a characteristic, but a beautiful thought for the beginning of life.

Distinguishing Birthdays from Public Holidays

Anyone born on a public holiday often receives gifts all at once. A spoon with their own sign marks a milestone that belongs solely to the child. The spoon is perfect for the weeks after birth, the breakthrough of the first tooth, a baby shower or a first birthday. It is rarely a christening gift.

No Engraving, but a Dedication Included

Engraving is not possible because the enamel and relief fill the handle. Instead, we can include the SilberVerse card free of charge upon request, featuring a verse for the winter child. You can find the name and date on the birth spoons.
