Silver Baby Rattle 925 Swan — Smooth Handle, Engravable

The swan on the head of this baby rattle is the same as on its decorated sister; only the handle is different: smoothly polished, without relief, and wider towards the end. This calm surface leaves room for an engraving of up to 20 characters, that is, a first name together with a date. The silver is 925 sterling silver, and the rattle is made by Zaramella Argenti in Italy.

Swan Baby Rattle with Engraving: up to 20 Characters on the Smooth Handle

Typical choices are a first name, a first name with a date, or a short greeting such as "Welcome, Mia". The handle is smooth throughout, the lettering meets no relief, and the head with the swan stays untouched. Good to know: goods with individual engraving are excluded from the right of withdrawal.

If you would like to add a thought to the name, you can also receive a SilberVerse card, on request and at no extra charge, even with a rattle without engraving: a verse in three to four lines, written for the occasion and the name, as a 15 × 10 cm photo card, framed in silver, white or black. Everything else is explained on the SilberVerse page.

Swan on the Water: Reeds, Waves and Small Stars

The swan draws its neck into a soft S-curve, wavy lines run beneath it, reeds stand to the right, and small stars and an arch of tendrils frame the picture along the edge. The disc is worked identically on both sides: swan, waves, reeds and stars can be seen from the front as well as from the back. A small loop hangs at the side of the head. The swan is interpreted as an image of grace and fidelity, no more than an interpretation.

The rattle is approx. 12 cm long and weighs approx. 17 g; the weight may vary slightly from piece to piece.

Smooth Handle or Relief: the Swan Rattles Compared

This handle rattle shares its head, length and weight with the swan rattle with a textured handle. Its handle carries tendrils and blossoms and a small field for initials or a date. The smooth handle here holds twice as much and is suited to the full name.

For a Christening, for the Godchild, from the Grandparents

Godparents have the name and christening date engraved, grandparents often only the grandchild's first name, and for a birth the birth date is added. A lovely christening gift for a godchild is silver with a name, a rattle as much as a spoon or a set. More on the occasion: christening gifts.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Smooth Swan Rattle

How do I order the engraving for the swan rattle?
Together with the rattle, the engraving service fee goes into the cart, and we will then discuss with you personally what exactly goes on the handle. The delivery time is extended by 1–3 working days.

Is the swan also available as a teething ring rattle?
Yes. On the teething ring rattle, the swan with a pond scene sits on a disc on a pearl-white acrylic ring; it cannot be engraved. You can find all shapes in our silver baby rattles.

Is the swan rattle more for girls or for boys?
For both. A swan on the water is a calm motif without a fixed colour and suits every child.

Is a gift box included?
Yes, in an elegant gift box from which you can hand it over directly. How the box looks may change over time; this does not change what is inside.

How do I clean the rattle, and what happens to the silver?
Silver tarnishes over time, and polishing brings the shine back. For care: wash with warm water and a little mild dish soap, dry with a soft cloth, and polish again with a silver polishing cloth if needed. The dishwasher is not for it.

Has the smooth swan rattle been hallmarked?
Definitely: the smooth swan rattle is made of hallmarked silver. The piece comes with the maker's certificate card. If you would like to see photos before ordering, we're happy to send them to you.
