Material and Craftsmanship
The signature feature of the Dublin design is its hammered surface: every small depression in the silver refracts light differently, creating a matte, vibrant texture instead of a smooth, reflective finish. The narrow border width of 1.6 cm is intentionally understated, allowing the inserted photo to take center stage. An anti-tarnish coating protects the silver surface long-term, eliminating the need for regular polishing. The wenge wood back provides the frame with support and stability. The frame is curated by ZARAMELLA, an Italian silversmith.
Use and Occasions
The Dublin is subtle enough to blend into any home while being crafted from genuine 925 silver—a difference you can feel to the touch. As a gift, it is perfect for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or Mother’s Day: whenever a photo is the focus of a special moment and the recipient chooses which image to display.
Engraving and SilberVerse Card
The wenge wood back can be safely engraved, for instance with a monogram or a date. We can engrave the hammered silver itself only where a smooth surface remains—we will verify this with Zaramella. You can add the engraving service flat fee directly to your shopping cart; we will coordinate the desired text with you afterwards. If an engraving cannot be implemented, we will refund the fee. Upon request, we can also include a personal SilberVerse card in 15 x 10 cm photo format, individually designed and tailored to the occasion, free of charge.
Care
The anti-tarnish coating keeps the surface shiny for a long time, so regular polishing is not necessary. A soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Please avoid silver polish, as it can damage the protective coating.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Dublin and Florence frames?
The Dublin is hammered, simple, and modern with a border width of 1.6 cm. The Florence features an embossed floral pattern with a wider border. Both are made of 925 silver.
Does the frame require regular maintenance?
No, the anti-tarnish coating permanently prevents the silver from tarnishing. A soft cloth is sufficient for occasional cleaning.
Can the frame be displayed vertically and horizontally?
Yes, the back supports both orientations, accommodating both portrait and landscape photos.
Can I have the frame engraved?
Yes, securely on the wenge wood back. On the hammered silver, we can only engrave where a smooth area remains, which we will verify with Zaramella. You can add the flat fee for this via the engraving service in your shopping cart.
