Description
The 925 silver Kiel picture frame in the 13 x 18 cm size features the same clean, understated elegance as its smaller counterpart: a flat, highly polished silver border with a finely stepped inner profile that draws the eye toward the photo. It can be displayed in portrait or landscape orientation and features a Wenge wood back that is ideal for engraving—as well as a wide, smooth silver surface that we will review with Zaramella for engraving suitability.
At a glance
- Material: 925 sterling silver, highly polished, anti-tarnish coating
- Shape: flat, clean lines, finely stepped inner profile
- Back: Wenge wood
- Photo format: 13 x 18 cm, portrait or landscape
- Engraving: Wenge back is engravable; wide silver surface subject to review with Zaramella (name, date, dedication)
Material and workmanship
The Kiel is the most minimalist, modern line among our silver frames: a flat, highly polished silver surface framed by a crisp outer edge and a finely stepped inner profile. An anti-tarnish coating protects the surface permanently, eliminating the need for regular polishing. The Wenge wood back provides additional stability for the larger format. This piece is part of the curated selection from Zaramella, a traditional Italian silversmithing house established in 1948.
Usage and occasions
An engraved silver frame is one of the most personal gifts you can give: for a wedding with the date of the big day, a milestone anniversary, a christening—also suitable for older children and adults—or as a keepsake for a special moment. In the larger 13 x 18 cm format, the photo is given even more room and presence.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
The Wenge wood back can be safely engraved with a name, date, or a short dedication. We can engrave the wide, smooth silver border following a review with Zaramella. Simply add the flat-rate fee via our engraving service to your shopping cart—we will then coordinate the wording with you. If engraving is not possible, we will refund the fee. Upon request, we will include a digitally designed SilberVerse card in the photo format—a few personal lines to accompany your gift, free of charge.
Care
The anti-tarnish coating maintains the shine for a long time. If necessary, occasional gentle polishing with a silver polishing cloth is sufficient. For everyday cleaning, a soft, dry cloth is enough.
