Material and workmanship
The violet surface of this frame is guilloche enamel: underneath the crystal-clear enamel layer lies a uniform pattern, mechanically engraved into the metal with a rose engine and then fired with several layers of transparent enamel at around 800 °C. Depending on the incidence of light, the surface appears deeper, more vibrant — this is why the actual object glows more strongly than any photograph. The small rabbit figure in the lower left corner is made of 925 silver and, like the frame itself, has a rhodium protective layer to ensure that the bright shine is permanently preserved and all metal parts appear in a uniform silver tone. The oval viewing window is fitted with genuine jeweler's glass, and a wooden insert supports the construction.

At 8.5 × 11 cm, this frame is deliberately compact — it stands on the bedside table, changing table, or shelf without taking up much space.
