Letter opener 925 silver with engraving — Zaramella, polished and m...
Purist — pure form, smooth surface
Description
Pure form instead of ornament: This letter opener consciously eschews decoration, letting the high-polished silver surface speak for itself. For those seeking a desk accessory that does not hide behind ornamentation, this is the purist counterpart to elaborately engraved pieces.
At a glance
- Material: 925 sterling silver, high-polished, without ornamentation
- Length: 18.5 cm
- Weight: approx. 60 g
- Hallmark: yes
Material and workmanship
The handle features a gently curved waist with a round cap at the end, which lies ergonomically in the hand. A narrow profile strip cleanly separates the handle from the blade. The blade widens evenly and tapers to a point, ensuring it opens envelopes cleanly and is built to last. This is Italian silver craftsmanship without ornament: no niello engraving, no enamel—the polished 925 silver surface itself is the design. A piece that demonstrates its value not through decor, but through form and material.
Usage and occasions
For a promotion or a new job, this letter opener says "this desk, this tool" with an engraving of a new title or date. For graduation, it makes for a first business piece in genuine silver, the introduction to a lasting desk culture. For a company anniversary or after the successful completion of a project, it is a gesture of thanks that will be picked up every day. For a milestone birthday, it is suitable for a father, mother, or mentor who prefers clear forms over ornament. For a confirmation, it serves as the first piece of silver for their own desk.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
The smooth, polished handle surface offers plenty of space for an engraving: initials, name, date, or company logo. Upon request, we will include a personal SilberVerse card in photo format (15 x 10 cm landscape), individually designed to suit the occasion and free of charge.
Care
With regular use, the high-gloss polish is largely maintained on its own, as daily contact with the hand polishes the surface. For light patina, a soft silver polishing cloth is sufficient.
