Porcelain and silver coffee pot: a fence of roses on a ring of arches
The case holds one pot with lid. Cups and milk jug are not included. The body is cylindrical, the porcelain spout stretches long and curved to the front, and the handle is silver.
The pot is made of fine bone china, produced by the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in St. Petersburg. The silver setting comes from ArgentA, and Rosalia is the name of the line.
Rose tendrils, a rose finial and a handle with a blossom
Roses, leaves and stems climb around the pot and leave the white free in between. At the bottom runs an openwork ring of arches. A rose blossom sits at the top of the handle, and a silver rose serves as the finial on the porcelain lid.
Rose tendrils and handle are made by art casting, and the silver is then polished by hand. The blackened finish does not colour the silver: it darkens the depths between tendrils and roses, while the raised areas stay bright.
