Material and craftsmanship

The cups combine a porcelain insert with a 925 sterling silver holder—the porcelain ensures a neutral taste, while the silver holder provides the artistic side of the set. The saucers and spoons are crafted entirely from 925 sterling silver. All silver pieces feature the same hop motif: leaves and cones, engraved in niello black and accented with gold-plated contours. This repetition of the motif across all set components is what transforms individual pieces into a harmonious ensemble.

Use and occasions

With a capacity of around 50 ml per cup, the set is designed for espresso, mocha, or small, concentrated coffee specialties—the classic setting for a mindful coffee moment for two. It is suitable as a gift for weddings, anniversaries, for collectors of Russian silver art, or for anyone who prefers to spend moments of enjoyment in company rather than alone. Served in the gift box with a satin lining, the set is ready to be presented immediately—no further wrapping required.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Not every part of the set is equally suitable for engraving. The saucers can generally be personalized after review. The silver holder of the cups can only be engraved to a limited extent; the workshop will evaluate each case individually. You can add the engraving service flat rate directly to your shopping cart, after which we will coordinate with you on what is possible for the piece; if engraving is not possible, we will refund the flat rate. The porcelain cup itself cannot be engraved, and neither can the coffee spoons, as the niello decor already covers the surface area. For custom commissions with more engraving space, special requests are possible after consultation, though this may involve longer delivery times. In addition to engraving, we offer the SilberVerse card: a 15 × 10 cm (landscape format) photo, individually designed and free of charge.

Care

Porcelain and silver should be cared for separately. The porcelain inserts can be cleaned with warm water and a mild detergent. The silver parts—holder, saucers, spoons—must be washed by hand only; no dishwasher, no silver dip. A soft silver polishing cloth is suitable for regular polishing and will help the niello contrasts stand out even more clearly over time. Store in a dry place, preferably in the included gift box.

Can I have the porcelain cup engraved?
No, porcelain cannot be technically engraved. Instead, the saucers are suitable for personalization and can be engraved after review.

Is the silver holder of the cup engravable?
Only to a limited extent and subject to review by the workshop, as the niello decor significantly limits the available surface area.
