Material and workmanship

The cup features a grinning cat face, along with the inscription "Мурр..." – the Russian word for a cat's purr – and a fine border of small fish below. The spoon and fork bear the same cat motif at the end of the handle, so that all three pieces are recognizable as a unit at first glance. The cup, spoon, and fork are crafted entirely from 925 sterling silver and are high-gloss polished, allowing the dark contour drawing to stand out clearly against the bright silver.

Use and occasions

With a capacity of approx. 125 ml, the cup holds the right amount for small children, and its handle sits securely in little hands. The spoon and fork are tailored in size and weight to children's hands and are suitable for the first feedings through to the first independent attempts at eating. A set made of 925 silver is not an item for a single season, but one that accompanies a child for years – initially as everyday tableware, later as a memento of early childhood. As a gift for a boy's birth or christening, the confident cat motif fits well with a child who is just at the beginning of their own little story.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

after inspection, the set can be individually engraved, for example with the child's name or date of birth. We can also include a SilberVerse card in 15 × 10 cm photo format upon request: individually designed to match the occasion and child, free of charge.

Care

Clean the cup, spoon, and fork by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, and dry thoroughly. You should avoid silver dip baths and aggressive cleaning agents so that the dark contour drawing is not damaged. A soft silver polishing cloth helps with light tarnish and restores the shine.
