Description
Some children's cutlery motifs simply work for everyone — the penguin is one of them. If you are looking for a gift that is not gender-specific but still features a charming detail on the handle, this 2-piece set consisting of a children's knife and fork is a straightforward choice. Crafted from 925 sterling silver, decorated with a cheerful enamel penguin.
At a glance
- Set contents: children's knife + children's fork (2-piece)
- Material: 925 sterling silver with colored enamel finish
- Motif: Penguin, enameled in black and white with yellow accents
- Delivered in high-quality gift packaging
- Children's knife: Length 18 cm, width 0.21 cm, thickness 0.3 cm, approx. 55 g
- Children's fork: Length 16.3 cm, width 0.21 cm, thickness 0.22 cm, approx. 32 g
Material and craftsmanship
Both cutlery pieces are made of solid 925 sterling silver. The penguin at the end of the handle is multi-layer enameled — each color is applied and fired separately until the motif gains its depth and luster. The blade and tines are finely polished and tailored for small hands.
Occasions and target groups
Because the penguin is not considered a strictly girl's or boy's motif, this set is suitable for any child — a practical advantage if the baby's gender is not yet known or if you consciously want to choose a neutral gift. It is popular for birth, christenings, the first birthday, or simply as a heartfelt gift from godparents and grandparents. If you are looking for a motif with a more distinct character, you can also find sets with mouse or fish motifs in our assortment.
Care
Clean the knife and fork by hand with warm water and mild detergent, then dry them with a soft cloth. Please do not use abrasive cleaners on the colored enamel surfaces. A light patina on the silver can be easily removed with a silver polishing cloth. Not dishwasher safe.
Frequently asked questions
Is the penguin intended more for girls or boys?
Neither — the motif is deliberately designed to be timeless and gender-neutral, making it suitable for every child.
Can I expand the set later?
Yes, the individual cutlery pieces are also available separately, so the set can be completed as needed.
Is an engraving possible?
Yes, subject to review, a name engraving can be added to make the set more personal. You can add the engraving service flat fee to your shopping cart along with the set; we will then check the feasibility and scope and coordinate the wording with you. If the engraving is not possible, we will refund the flat fee.
