Materials and craftsmanship

The holder measures 95 mm high and 72 mm in diameter. Its weight of approx. 129 g of solid 925 sterling silver gives it a substantial feel in the hand. The oval medallion, framed by a laurel wreath, features a relief of Saint George on horseback, brought out in three dimensions by the black oxidation: a dark surface treatment applied selectively to the recessed areas to give the motif contrast and depth. It is not a lacquer coating, but is bonded to the silver itself and remains stable with proper care. The included tea glass is 100 mm high, 65 mm in diameter and holds 200 ml. Its classic diamond-cut pattern refracts the light, making the tea glow in the glass. The motif covers the holder’s entire outer wall, so it cannot be engraved; the base of the glass holder is available for engraving.
