Table spoon 925 silver gold-plated and Niello – Astra Classic

More than just a silver spoon – a piece of jewelry for your table. This gold-plated table spoon in 925 sterling silver combines a floral engraving on the back of the bowl with a niello ornament on the handle. The Astra Classic collection represents this fusion of gold, engraving, and the art of niello – a piece of cutlery with visible attention to detail.

Material and craftsmanship

The bowl of this table spoon is fully gold-plated on the outside, featuring a delicate floral engraving on the back – blossom and leaf motifs that emerge from the silver surface in gold-plated lines. At the end of the handle, a floral niello ornament in a deep blue-black complements the design: a dark silver alloy is melted into finely pre-engraved lines and permanently bonded with the silver – like ink in silver; not a print, not a coating. This combination of full gilding, floral engraving, and niello technique makes the spoon a highly collectible piece. The spoon is hallmarked.

Use and occasions

This table spoon is suitable as a dinner or soup spoon for special dining moments and as a complement to an existing silver cutlery set. As a gift, it is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, and milestone birthdays – for anyone who appreciates traditional silversmithing and artfully decorated cutlery. In combination with other pieces from the Astra collection – table forks, table knives, dessert spoons – an ensemble of cutlery with a distinctive look is created, which can be found in the tableware and silver cutlery range.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The bowl already bears the complete floral hand-engraving, and the handle features the niello ornament; therefore, an additional individual engraving is not intended for this spoon. For a personal dedication when gifting, we recommend the 15 × 10 cm landscape format SilberVerse card: a digitally designed photo with your own words, included free of charge with the gift box.

Care

Clean the spoon by hand only, using a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid the dishwasher to protect the niello and gold plating. Store in a dry place – preferably in the gift box.
