Material and Craftsmanship

The handle of this table spoon features a floral niello ornament in deep black, while a delicate floral design unfolds on the back of the bowl – finely engraved and left in the natural silver tone, without additional gilding. The niello technique originates from the Russian silversmithing tradition: a dark alloy is melted into finely pre-engraved lines and permanently bonded to the silver – like ink in silver, no printing, no coating. This combination of engraving and niello contrast, completely without gold, gives the spoon its distinct, minimalist character. The spoon carries a hallmark.

Use and Occasions

This table spoon is suitable as a dinner or soup spoon and as a complement to an existing silver cutlery set. As a gift, it is perfect for anyone who appreciates the combination of engraving and niello without gilding: for anniversaries, milestone birthdays, or as a special individual piece to accompany existing cutlery. Matching dinner forks, dinner knives, and other cutlery pieces from the Astra series can be found in our table silver assortment.

Engraving and SilberVerse Card

The bowl already features the floral hand-engraving, and the handle the niello ornament – additional custom engraving is therefore not intended for this spoon. For a personal dedication when gifting, we recommend the 15 × 10 cm landscape SilberVerse card: a digitally designed photo card that carries your dedication, included free with the gift box.

Care

Clean the spoon only by hand, without aggressive cleaning agents. Avoid the dishwasher to protect the engraving and niello. Dry gently after rinsing and store in a protected place.
