Porcelain and silver teapot: ribbed body on small leaf feet

The case contains the teapot with its lid; cups are not included. The body is rounded and ribbed lengthwise. The long porcelain spout sweeps forward, and the handle is a tendril handle.

Bone china from the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in St. Petersburg forms the ribbed body. ArgentA makes the openwork setting, and Symphonie is the name of the line.

A heart in the foliage, a beaded rim and a handle of tendrils

The setting is openwork: blossoms and leafy tendrils surround the body, and at the front a heart with a blossom sits in the foliage. A beaded rim runs around the band. Below stands a base with scrollwork on four small leaf feet.

The porcelain lid has a fine dark line at the rim and a silver ring loop as its grip. As you turn the pot, the picture changes: the heart at the front, the handle at the side, the scrollwork all around.

The openwork setting is made by art casting and then polished by hand, the small leaf feet included. The blackened finish darkens the recesses in foliage and tendrils; it is not a coat of paint.
