Teaspoon Elegy – 925 Silver Niello

The "Elegie" coffee spoon made of 925 sterling silver features an ornate niello hand engraving of delicate leaf tendrils that extend over the cylindrical handle and the back of the bowl. Two narrow dark blue enamel rings at the top of the handle add an extra splash of color. With a length of 160 mm and a weight of approx. 62 g, the spoon feels steady and substantial in the hand – a companion for coffee, tea, or small dessert moments.

Material and workmanship

The spoon is made entirely of 925 sterling silver, without gold plating. The cylindrical handle with its small knob finial features a delicate niello engraving of leaf tendrils, hand-etched into the silver and filled with dark niello paste. Two narrow dark blue enamel rings mark the transition between the handle and the stem. The back of the bowl is also engraved with the same tendril motif, while the front remains polished blank. The spoon is crafted by a Russian silversmith from the Welikoustyug niello tradition.

Care
