Material and craftsmanship

The floral motif of the Kraft collection is the most defining feature of this cup: sunflowers in full bloom, sweeping vines, smaller individual blossoms, densely composed and without any empty spaces. The band sits in the middle of the wall, framed by two thin niello lines. Niello is not an applied layer, but a black inlay that is fused into the finely engraved lines, ground flat, and polished — like ink in silver. Every blossom and every vine was hand-engraved; not a millimeter is random — the motif does not fade and does not wear off.
