The case is made entirely of 925 sterling silver, highly polished. The outside features horizontally running lines that become increasingly dense towards the bottom: the silver at the top remains bright and strongly reflects light, while at the bottom an optical gradient is created towards a denser, darker-looking band. This is pure graphic language, no animal motif, no heraldry, no floral ornamentation. The lines are engraved, meaning they are materially worked into the silver, not printed, so they will not wear off. A square, smooth field is left blank in the lower right, deliberately left free for a personal engraving. Compared to business card cases made of aluminum or silver-plated material, this case is solid sterling silver throughout, heavier and more valuable to the touch.
