Material and Workmanship

The slender, tall cup of this goblet features a dense floral ornament that covers almost its entire surface: finely engraved blossoms and tendrils, filled with black niello and framed by gold zones at the rim and base. The baluster stem with its characteristic gold sphere and silver base gives the goblet a clear, upright silhouette that appears slimmer than the more bulbous chalices in the line. Care
