A Sign Without a Living Being

Almost all zodiac signs show an animal or a person. Libra is the exception: an object that stands for balance. Its period begins with the autumn equinox, when day and night are approximately equal in length. Accordingly, Libra is one of the air signs, and its planet is Venus. According to tradition, its themes are the need for harmony, a sense of beauty and justice.

Blue, Red and Yellow on Polished Silver

The enamel colors sit at the top of the handle and turn the spoon into a small picture. Below follows the golden sign of Libra, then two gilded stars. The wire ball and reliefs on the narrow stem invite touching, three dots in the bowl as well. The spoon weighs approximately 25 g.

Between Sapphire and Opal

The last days of September still carry sapphire according to the common birthstone list, from October onwards opal belongs to it. Anyone who wants to read the background information can find it in the following Libra: Character and Gift. The stone is just knowledge, none is on the spoon itself.

When the Spoon is Presented

Usually it comes in the weeks after birth, as a gift from parents, grandparents or friends. But it is equally suitable for the first tooth and the baby shower. A first birthday in autumn brings the sign to the table once again. As a christening gift, it only comes occasionally.

It Remains Personal Even Without Engraving

Engraving is not possible: The stem is covered with enamel and relief, the smooth surface is missing. A personal greeting is still possible: Upon request, a free SilberVerse card is available, whose verse is tailored to the name and occasion. You get the name and date with the birth spoons.
