Description

Children's Spoon 925 Silver with Enamel — Prince with Coat of Arms from the Royal Childhood Collection

At the end of the handle of this children's spoon made of 925 sterling silver sits a royal coat of arms in deep blue — a shield in the middle, framed by blue enamel with fine wavy lines, crowned by a golden crown with three points. The stem below is polished silver without enamel — simple and clear. It is the male counterpart to the Princess coat of arms (SW10707): the same heraldic concept, but in blue instead of red. A spoon for little princes — not with a figure, but with the coat of arms of their own little kingdom. From the Royal Childhood by ArgentA collection.

Design — A Royal Coat of Arms in Blue and Gold

This spoon differs from the figurative motifs of the collection. Instead of a child figure, it displays a heraldic coat of arms — a symbol that in European tradition stands for nobility, belonging, and identity. The blue color makes it the prince's spoon, the counterpart to the red princess.

The coat of arms at the end of the handle consists of several layers: a deep blue enamel surface forms the background — traversed by fine wavy lines that give the surface texture and depth. In the center sits a shield in darker blue with a heraldic element at its core, flanked by golden bands. The shape is reminiscent of classic noble coats of arms — compact, symmetrical, and self-assured. The different shades of blue create a three-dimensional effect, making the coat of arms appear sculptural.

The golden crown above the coat of arms is the distinguishing mark of the Royal Childhood collection. It elevates the coat of arms to a royal symbol and gives the spoon its name: Prince. It is not a figurative depiction of a prince, but the coat of arms of a prince — his sign, his seal, his own little kingdom. The gilding of the crown forms a warm contrast to the cool blue of the enamel.

The stem below the coat of arms is polished silver — without enamel, without ornaments. This distinguishes the prince from the princess (SW10707), where floral tendrils in pink, magenta, and blue flow down the stem. For the prince, the stem remains deliberately simple — a design decision that gives space to the coat of arms and makes the character of the spoon clearer, more straightforward. The spoon bowl is highly polished.

The Coat of Arms as a Gift Symbol — Belonging and Identity

In European tradition, a coat of arms is a symbol of identity and belonging. It says: You belong to a family, to a history, to a name. Coats of arms were granted, fought for, and inherited over centuries — they were an expression of status, origin, and solidarity.

A spoon with a coat of arms is therefore more than a decorative gift — it is a symbolic admission into the family. For a gift for a birth or christening, the coat of arms carries a powerful message: You have arrived. You belong here. You have your place. The golden crown above the coat of arms adds: And this place is a royal one.

The color blue has its own meaning in heraldry. Blue stands for fidelity, constancy, and truth — qualities one wishes for a child from the very beginning. In combination with the golden crown, a color pair is created that is considered particularly noble in European heraldry: the cool blue of reliability, complemented by the warm gold of generosity.

The prince as a motif is not shown here as a fairy tale figure with a sword and cape, but as a heraldic concept — prince not as a costume, but as an attitude. A spoon that says: You are strong, you are faithful, you have your own coat of arms.

Royal Childhood Collection — ArgentA

The Royal Childhood collection includes various motifs — from child figures to animal motifs and heraldic designs. The prince's coat of arms stands alongside the princess's coat of arms as a pair: two spoons with an identical basic shape, but different coloring and detailed design. Blue for the prince, red for the princess. Both share the golden crown as their distinguishing mark.

This pairing makes the coat of arms spoons particularly suitable for sibling gifts — if a family has both a son and a daughter, the blue and red spoons form a matching set. The two coat of arms spoons are also a thoughtful choice for twin gifts for mixed-sex twins.

The golden gift box with a crown ornament and the inscription "Королевское Детство" (Royal Childhood) protects the spoon and makes it ready for gifting. The box itself becomes part of the gift experience — upon opening, the blue spoon unfolds against a golden background.

Occasions and Target Groups

Birth: As the first silver cutlery for a boy — the coat of arms as a symbol of acceptance into the family. The deep blue radiates calm and constancy, while the golden crown gives the gift a festive setting.
Christening: An engraved coat of arms with name and date — a keepsake that combines belonging and the blessing of the christening. The heraldic motif is particularly well suited to the festive character of a christening ceremony.
First Birthday: For families who wish to dedicate a gift with heraldic symbolism to their little prince — a spoon that will last long beyond the day.

For godparents looking for a boyish but not playful gift — the coat of arms combines elegance with symbolic power, without resorting to childlike figures.
For grandparents who want to give a valuable keepsake in 925 silver — the prince's spoon looks like an heirloom that will last for generations.
For parents who want to interpret the prince theme beyond figurine motifs — strength and dignity instead of toys and fairy tales.

Sibling Gift: In combination with the princess's coat of arms (SW10707), a matching pair is created — blue and red, prince and princess, two coats of arms of one family.

Engraving Service and SilberVerse Card

The back of the handle offers a smooth surface for an individual engraving — name, date, or a short dedication. The engraving is professionally and permanently etched. Contact us via our engraving service — we will advise you on placement, font, and text length.

Especially with a coat of arms motif, engraving gains significance: the name and date on the back turn the coat of arms on the front into a personal family crest — a spoon that is not only beautiful but tells a story.

SilberVerse Card: On request, we can design an individual SilberVerse card in photo format (10×15 cm) — suitable for the occasion, the recipient, and with your personal message. Each card is unique. Simply indicate your wish when ordering, and we will contact you to coordinate the details. Currently free of charge — can be ordered with or without engraving.

Material and Care

The spoon is made of solid 925 Sterling Silver — food-safe, nickel-free, and value-retaining for generations. The blue enamel is applied in several layers and fired at high temperature — this permanently bonds it to the silver and makes it resistant to normal use. The golden crown is gilded and permanently fixed.

Clean the spoon by hand with warm water and mild dish soap. Dry with a soft cotton cloth. Do not treat enamel and gilding with abrasives, silver dips, or aggressive cleaning agents. Not dishwasher safe. The supplied gift box is suitable for storage — it protects the enamel and gilding from scratches.

Frequent Questions about the Prince Children's Spoon

Does the spoon show a prince figure?
No. Instead of a figure, it shows a royal coat of arms in blue enamel with a golden crown — the coat of arms of a prince. A heraldic motif that combines strength and fidelity, without resorting to childlike figure depictions.

What is the difference to the Princess (SW10707)?
Both spoons feature a heraldic coat of arms with a golden crown. The princess is in red enamel and has floral tendrils on the stem. The prince is designed in blue enamel, and the stem remains polished silver without ornaments. Both are 13.5 cm long and weigh approx. 30 g.

Can the spoon be engraved?
Yes. The back of the stem offers a smooth surface for a name, date, or short dedication. Contact us via our engraving service.

Is the enamel safe for children?
Yes. The enamel is fired at high temperature and is permanently sealed. It is food-safe and solvent-free. The enamel is exclusively on the handle — the spoon bowl is pure polished silver.

What age is the spoon intended for?
From birth as a symbolic gift. For first feeding attempts under supervision from approx. 6–12 months. At 13.5 cm, it will accompany the child beyond infancy.
