Material and craftsmanship

All 24 pieces are crafted from 925 sterling silver and feature the fine niello engraving on both the front and back. Niello is an ancient finishing technique: a black inlay is fused into the engraved lines, sanded flush, and polished — like ink in silver, not a lacquer that could peel off. The contrast between the shiny silver and the dark inlay deepens over time and with regular polishing, rather than fading. This cutlery is designed for both daily use and festive occasions.

Usage and occasions

A complete 24-piece cutlery set for six people is ideal for occasions where a full table is being newly equipped or supplemented — as a wedding gift, for a silver wedding anniversary, or as a deliberate investment for your own collection. Those who wish to expand their collection later can add serving pieces, dessert cutlery, or matching silver tableware upon request; combinations with suitable porcelain or additional gilding and individual engraving of initials or logos are also possible subject to review.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Personalized engraving of initials or a logo is possible for this set upon review. Since the suitable engraving area varies depending on the piece, we will discuss this with you on an individual basis. Upon request, we can also include a personal SilberVerse card in 15 × 10 cm photo format — individually designed to suit the occasion, free of charge. This also applies if no engraving is ordered.

Care

Clean the set exclusively by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. The dishwasher is unsuitable, as aggressive detergents and high temperatures can damage the niello inlay. If the silver tarnishes over time, a special silver polishing cloth will help restore its original shine.
