Material and workmanship

The milk jug is crafted from 925 sterling silver, with the interior completely gold-plated. Flowing hop vines run along the outer wall – soft leaves, intertwined vines, and transitions accented with gold. The dark contours are created through niello: a black inlay that is fused into engraved grooves, sanded flat, and polished – like ink in silver. The depth of the engraving is palpable and appears almost relief-like – a sign of the care with which every line was etched. The combination of dark niello, bright silver, and warm gold plating creates a contrast that reveals new details upon closer inspection.

Use and occasions

With a capacity of around 250 ml, the jug is designed for tea and coffee services. It is part of a complete coffee and tea set that can be individually compiled – whether for two, four, or six people. Each element of the Hopfen collection bears the same niello pattern, making it a perfect match for cups, saucers, coffee pots, and sugar bowls from the same line. Care

Hand wash only, dry with soft cloths, do not use abrasive cleaners. Niello and gold plating require gentle cleaning to ensure the contrasts and the gold shine are permanently preserved. Do not use a dishwasher, do not use silver dip baths.
