The Hopfen tea service, crafted from 925 sterling silver, is one of the most impressive sets in the entire Hopfen collection—featuring traditional silversmithing, exquisite hand engraving, and golden accents that give the iconic hop motif remarkable depth. Material and craftsmanship
The hop motif is part of a historical design of great cultural significance. The lines of the engraving are painstakingly hand-cut, filled with niello, fused, ground flat, and polished—like ink in silver—creating the characteristic deep black finish. This is not a print, but a permanent bond with the silver. Finally, selected areas are gilded, making the hop vines appear as a golden relief that rises from the surface. Each line is hand-engraved in the traditional manner, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike. The solid 925 sterling silver service is delivered in an elegant gift box with a fabric lining.
Usage and occasions
The Hopfen tea service is suitable for formal tea gatherings, special occasions, and refined enjoyment in a private setting—perfect for a living room, salon, drawing room, or elegant tea time with a small circle of guests. It is a gift for those who value tradition, stillness, and quality. As a luxury gift for a company anniversary, wedding, significant birthday, or as an addition to an exclusive home, this set is a mark of timeless appreciation. Collectors prize the rare combination of niello and gilding, while hosts value an ensemble that turns every tea session into a special moment.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
Engraving is possible upon review, as the niello and gilded surfaces require special attention. Alternatively or in addition, a SilberVerse card (15 × 10 cm landscape format) can be included as a customizable dedication—free of charge.
