Material and craftsmanship

The Elegie line follows a geometric, architectural design language: column capital end caps finish off the slim handle at the top, and the transitions to the bowl or blade follow graceful curves. The niello leaf tendrils are located not only on the visible front of the handle, but also extend to the back of the spoon bowl and the fork tines – anyone turning the piece over will see the same level of detail. Each line is first engraved into the silver, then filled with niello – a black inlay that is melted in, ground flush, and polished, like ink in silver; it is not a lacquer that will peel off over time. With a total weight of approx. 253 g for three pieces, this cutlery feels noticeably more solid in the hand than industrially manufactured dinner cutlery, which often weighs only 50 to 70 g per piece.

Care

• Clean by hand with warm water and a mild, pH-neutral detergent, then dry immediately with a soft cotton cloth
• No dishwasher – aggressive tabs, contact with salt, and drying heat damage both the niello inlay and the silver surface
• Do not use silver dip baths, as these can damage the niello filling
• Store in the provided manufacturer's box with velvet lining between uses
