The Design — Niello Floral Design meets Targeted Gold Plating

Astra Classic uses two crafting techniques simultaneously. The handles made of matte 925 silver feature a hand-engraved niello floral design on both sides: each line is hand-etched into the silver, and the black niello alloy is melted in. The result is a durable contrast — black niello on bright silver.

The gold plating sets targeted accents: the bowls of the spoons and the tines of the forks are fully highly polished and gilded, presenting food in a warm setting. The edges and rounded ends of the handles also feature golden accents — enough gold for luxury, not so much that it dominates.
