Christening Set DoDo 925 Silver Steam Locomotive — Cup and Spoon with Enamel, Engravable

A steam locomotive travels across the cup in relief, and a second one in colourful enamel across the spoon. This christening set in 925 silver comes from ArgentA, belongs to the DoDo series and arrives as a gift in the gift box.

One locomotive for the cup, one for the spoon

On one side of the cup, a steam locomotive rolls along as a raised silver relief. The cup holds approx. 100 ml. Its flat handle shows small nubs and bubbles. Where the handle meets the cup sit three dots, two in enamel and one gold-plated.

On the round handle head of the spoon, a locomotive glows in red, orange and yellow, framed by a fine gold-plated outline. Below it follow coloured dots and a row of pressed-in bubbles. Two small nubs sit in the bowl.

What the steam locomotive stands for

The steam locomotive is a motif many know from picture books. As a motif, it stands for setting off and for journeys that are just beginning. That suits a day on which something new begins.

Engraving on the back of the cup and the handle head

The back of the cup is smooth and offers room for up to 20 characters, for example a short name with a date. On the spoon, the back of the round handle head is engraved, where 10 to 12 characters fit, so a first name.

If a piece is to carry text, you select the engraving service for exactly that piece. In the “order note at checkout” field, you note the text you would like. We will agree on everything else afterwards. If a request cannot be realised technically, we will refund the flat fee to you.

A verse goes well with it, one that is created individually for the occasion and the name. You can get the SilberVerse card free of charge on request; it measures 15 × 10 cm.

For giving and keeping

Godparents, parents and grandparents give the set for a christening or birth. It keeps company with the first porridge and later moves to the shelf. If you would like a pacifier as a keepsake as well, take a look at the christening set with keepsake pacifier.

Questions about the DoDo set with steam locomotive

What can you give for a birth that not everyone gives?
A cup with a motif and a name rarely ends up twice on the gift table. Made of silver, it lasts for many years and stays connected to the child.

Are the cup and spoon available separately?
They are. In the shop, the cup is called the DoDo train children's cup, and you will find the spoon as the locomotive baby spoon.

How do I care for the set with enamel?
Treat both pieces with warm water and a soft cloth, ideally by hand and rubbed dry straight away. Do not scour the enamel, and do not put the set in the dishwasher.
