Christening Set 925 Silver Niello Guardian Angel — Spoon, Locket, Cross on Cord

A silver spoon for the christening, and the angel goes along on the medallion too. This christening set made of 925 silver combines a guardian angel spoon, an oval guardian angel medallion and a cross on a white cord. Everything comes in a blue velvet box, which is placed in a gift box with a silver bow.

Silver spoon for the christening: How a spoon becomes a set

The spoon is the classic among christening gifts. Here it is accompanied by two small pendants, both of which tell a story. The medallion shows the angel, the cross bears the inscription IC XC NIKA.

The white cord holds both pendants together. Whoever gives the set presents the spoon and pendants all at once.

Double guardian angel: On the spoon and in the medallion

At the end of the spoon handle stands an angel in niello design. Below it, a narrow cross runs along the stem, and the bowl remains smooth.

In the oval medallion, the angel wears wings and a halo. Both images show the guardian angel, once large on the spoon, once small as a pendant.

With the angel you say what you wish for the child. It is meant to grow up protected. That cannot be promised.

Cross on white cord: Small, dark-backed, inscribed

The Orthodox cross has rounded arms, and a dark background lies all around. On the sides stands IC XC, below it NIKA. It hangs with the medallion on the same cord.

The cord is white, a blue or pink cord is available on request. Write the color in the "note at checkout".

Niello on spoon and medallion: Design in silver instead of lacquer

The angel on the spoon and medallion is engraved by hand into the silver. The lines are filled dark and fired in. Therefore, the design is not lacquer and not a print, it is set in the metal.

Niello is the name of the technique, Nielloa is our brand for it. How the process looks is explained by the guide What is niello?

Engraving on the spoon stem: Name and christening day in 20 characters

On the back of the stem there is room for 20 characters, for example a first name and the christening day.

Add the engraving service to the cart and write your desired text in the "note at checkout" field. Check the spelling yourself, we will discuss open details after your purchase. If the engraving is not feasible after all, you will receive the flat rate back.

We will include a SilberVerse card with a verse about the name and occasion for free on request, 15 × 10 cm in landscape format.

Christening gift angel: For godfather, godmother and grandparents

The set is suitable for godfather and godmother, for grandparents and for friends of the family. With the inscription IC XC NIKA, it is particularly suitable for an Orthodox christening.

You can also give it as a birth gift. The child will then have something of their own for their christening day.

To go with the set: The sister set with icon and the christening spoon with angel

With a folding icon instead of a medallion, there is the Orthodox gift set with icon. As a single gift, the christening spoon with angel is an option. And as a picture for the table, the Table icon guardian angel is suitable.

What distinguishes the christening set from the gift set with icon?
Both have the guardian angel spoon and a cross on a white cord. This set adds the medallion and comes in a velvet box and gift box. The other set instead contains a folding icon of the Mother of God of Kazan in a leather cover.

The engraving is intended for the back of the spoon stem. The two pendants remain without engraving.

You rinse the spoon by hand in lukewarm water and wipe it dry. You wipe the pendants with a soft cloth, the cord only dry. If you use a silver polishing cloth, keep it off the dark areas.
