Special properties of products
Description
This baby spoon made of 925 sterling silver features a flying elephant at the end of the handle with its trunk raised and ears spread—its body is an enamel mosaic of geometric color fields in orange, blue, green, and red. It can be engraved subject to assessment and is suitable as a gender-neutral gift for a birth, christening, or first birthday. The elephant symbolizes strength and family unity, while flight represents dreams and imagination.
At a glance
- Material: 925 sterling silver, enamel mosaic in multi-color technique
- Finish: geometric color fields in orange, blue, green, and red
- Motif: flying elephant, trunk raised, ears spread
- Length: approx. 12.5 cm
- Weight: approx. 26 g
- Collection: DoDo — Tactile Collection (orange variant, also available in red-pink and blue)
Material and workmanship
The spoon is cast from solid 925 sterling silver; it is hallmarked. Squares, circles, and ovals in orange, blue, green, and red are placed closely together—each color field is applied individually and fired at a high temperature, creating a durable mosaic reminiscent of a stained-glass window. The handle follows the curved line of the elephant's body, and the spoon bowl is smoothly polished.
Occasions and target groups
A 925 silver baby spoon with an enamel mosaic is one of those gifts presented for a birth, christening, or first birthday. The orange variant is deliberately gender-neutral and is suitable for any baby, regardless of gender. For parents looking for a special gift with meaning. For godparents who want to give an extraordinary christening gift. For parents of twins looking for two matching but individual gifts.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
Engraving is possible subject to assessment—as the handle is curved and partially decorated with enamel, we will check in advance where an engraving can be realistically implemented. Classic engravings include a name, a name with a date, or a name with "from Grandma" or "from Godparent." In addition, we offer a complimentary, digitally designed SilberVerse card in 15 × 10 cm (landscape) photo format.
Care
Clean by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, and dry with a soft cloth. For light patina, a silver polishing cloth is sufficient. The enamel surfaces are fired and permanently sealed but should not be treated with abrasive cleaners. Not dishwasher safe.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the mosaic enamel special?
The elephant consists of individually placed, geometric color fields in orange, blue, green, and red. Each field is applied and fired separately—significantly more elaborate than a simple paint application.
Can the spoon be engraved?
Yes, subject to assessment. Since the handle is curved and partially decorated with enamel, we will check in advance where the engraving can be placed sensibly.
Which color is suitable as a gift if the gender is not known?
Orange—the color combination of orange, blue, green, and red is designed to be deliberately gender-neutral.
