Description
A May child takes its time, but savors everything it receives. At least, that is how the zodiac sign of Taurus, which rules from April 21 to May 20, is described. This baby spoon made of 925 sterling silver depicts it as a small calf in enamel, with brown and red spots, and the golden Taurus symbol below. A spoon with charm, not pathos.
For the first tooth
For the moment when a smile gets teeth
The first tooth is a wonderful occasion for a spoon. We collect more ideas for this milestone and for birth in the zodiac sign selection for babies.
To the zodiac sign selectionA calf instead of a bull
In the zodiac, Taurus stands for reliability, calm, perseverance, and a sense of beautiful things; its element is earth, and its ruling planet is Venus. A mighty bull would be the wrong image for a baby spoon. Instead, there is a young calf with large eyes and spots. This keeps the strength of the sign palpable, but its effect gentle. Parents often immediately recognize their own child in it: firmly on its feet and yet delicate.
Enamel in reddish-brown, gold in the details
The calf is enameled in warm red and brown tones. The Taurus symbol follows in gold, as do a few small stars. Everything else on the spoon is polished 925 sterling silver. On the handle are a filigree ball and reliefs, while the bowl features three small tactile dots. The spoon measures 130 mm and weighs approx. 26 g. In its packaging, a white case with a rainbow ribbon, it already looks like a finished gift.
May, emerald, and the Taurus connection
According to the usual monthly list, emerald belongs to May. Our spoon does not feature a stone; that is background knowledge for conversations about the gift. Also read the Taurus-Baby: Character and Gift article about the sign, which covers traits and gift ideas.
What cannot be done with engraving
We would love to put the name and date on the handle, but it is covered with the calf, symbol, and reliefs. Engraving is therefore not possible. You can still add a personal touch to the gift: with the free SilberVerse card or, if you want the name to be on the silver, with one of the birth spoons.
Does Taurus suit your date?
If the child celebrates around the 20th or 21st of the month, you might take a look at the neighbors: Aries with a pink bow before, or Aries with a blue bow before, and Gemini after. Birth, the first tooth, a baby shower, and the first birthday are all suitable occasions.

Frequently asked questions
When is Taurus’s birthday?
Between April 21 and May 20.
How personal can the spoon be?
It cannot be engraved because there is no free space. Upon request, you will receive the SilberVerse card free of charge, with a few lines for the May child. Names and dates are featured on the birth spoons.
Why a calf instead of a bull?
The calf makes the motif child-friendly while remaining the animal of the sign.
Is the spoon suitable as a gift for the first tooth?
Yes, besides birth, it is a natural occasion.
Are there other signs in this series?
Yes, all twelve, see Zodiac sign gifts in 925 silver.
