Capercaillie demitasse set for 2: bowl, cups and spoons in a case
There are five pieces in all: a bowl with lid, two demitasse cups and two coffee spoons. Each cup holds approx. 70 ml, the bowl approx. 155 ml.
The Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in St. Petersburg made the cups, the bowl's liner and the lid from bone china; ArgentA supplies the silver setting.
One motif on cups, bowl and spoons
The cups show capercaillies between branches; each handle is shaped like a branch. On the bowl, medallions with birds and scrollwork run around the body, and a capercaillie sits on the lid. As a grouse of coniferous and mountain forests, the capercaillie performs its courtship display in spring.
The handle end of the spoons shows a cartouche with a shell. Five silver pieces go through the same steps: first the casting of birds and branches, at the end the hand polishing.
On cups and bowl, the blackened finish sets off the relief in the recesses, while the raised areas stay bright.
A laid table for two, for a retirement
When a hunter leaves working life, there is more time for the forest and for the shared coffee afterwards. This set lays the table for two and belongs in the gift wrap as a farewell.
It is just as conceivable as a birthday gift, and at Christmas it belongs in the hunting lodge.
Set or single pieces: what the other Capercaillie pieces contain
Just two cups with spoons, without the bowl, come in the Capercaillie demitasse set. With porcelain saucers, it is available as the Capercaillie demitasse cups with saucers.
The bowl is offered on its own as the Capercaillie sugar bowl. Everything in silver for hunters is gathered in the collection 925 silver hunting gifts.
For a retirement: engraving after checking and SilberVerse
A name or a farewell date on the silver of the set? If you would like that, note it in the order note at checkout or get in touch beforehand by WhatsApp or email. The manufacturer then checks whether and how it can be done. A conversation with us clarifies how the lettering and layout look. If the wish does not work out, we refund the amount.
For a retirement, we recommend the SilberVerse, free on request: a verse with an individual reference to the occasion and names, delivered as a photo card 15 × 10 cm.
