Description
The Sheep Silver Spoon is a teaspoon made of 925 sterling silver. The medallion at the end of the handle features a curly-fleeced sheep's head, hand-engraved and inlaid with niello. It commemorates a baptism or birth in the 2027 Year of the Goat and is an ideal godparent gift. Important: This is an adult-sized teaspoon, not a baby spoon; it is a keepsake that grows with the child.
Are you a godparent looking for something lasting? Is a baptism coming up? Or perhaps a new grandchild?

What makes this Sheep silver spoon special
A pointed-oval handle end frames the round medallion, where the curly fleece takes center stage. Below this is a diamond lattice pattern. Everything is hand-engraved, the niello is fired into the metal, and the spoon bowl is smooth and high-polished.
A spoon for a baptism in the Year of the Goat
The Year of the Fire Goat (丁未) runs from February 6, 2027, to January 25, 2028. A child born or baptized during this time receives the sheep as a symbol associated with their year.
Sheep and Goat: one sign, two images
The character 羊 (yáng) represents both animals, the eighth sign of the zodiac. The imagery makes the distinction: here, the curly fleece; for the goat, the horns.
Care
Wash the spoon by hand and polish sparingly to preserve the contrast.
Frequently asked questions
Is this spoon suitable for a baptism, even as a godparent gift?
Yes, as a keepsake for later. For the first few months, a baby spoon from our birth gifts is more suitable. More: Niello baptism gifts.
Does my child belong to the sign of the Goat?
Yes, if they are born after New Year's Day 2027 and before that of 2028.
Can I have a name and date engraved?
Possible on the back of the handle, as the medallion is on the front; we will check the piece to see if the name and date fit. Add the engraving service fee to your order; we will then clarify the space and coordinate the text. If it is not possible, you will be refunded.
Is there something personal without engraving?
The SilberVerse card with a custom verse for the occasion, name, and sentiment, free upon request.
Difference from the Goat teaspoon?
Same shape; the Goat teaspoon shows horns and is better suited for birthdays.
