Description
The Sheep wall art piece is a 925 sterling silver plate featuring a hand-engraved niello sheep's head with curly fleece, framed in red velvet and a silver-gray ornamental frame with a golden beaded border. It belongs to the 2027 Year of the Goat, as the sheep and goat share a sign in the Chinese zodiac. As a peaceful image for a nursery, a birth, or for those born under this sign, it preserves the memory of this year.
A picture for a child born in 2027? Or for the 1991 birth year?

What makes this Sheep wall art special
The spirals of the fleece are hand-engraved into the silver and filled with niello, which is kiln-fired. The ears protrude laterally in a leaf shape, and below them sits a similar volute base with a lily in the center.
Why the sheep and goat are one sign
The Chinese 羊 (yáng) does not distinguish between the two animals; the zodiac recognizes only one as the eighth sign. The year 2027 is the Year of the Fire Goat (丁未, Ding Wei).
An image for birth and for those born under the sign
The soft curly fleece fits well in nurseries and hallways. If a child is born in the Year of the Goat, this remains the fitting image.
Alongside the Goat and Horse
The frame, beaded border, and velvet match the Goat wall art and the Horse wall art.
Everyday care
A soft cloth is sufficient.

Is there a matching christening gift?
