Description
The Dragon wall plaque is a silver plate made of 925 sterling silver with a hand-engraved niello dragon head, framed in dark wood with a gold inner trim and backed with red velvet. It can also be gifted for the Chinese New Year without looking like mere seasonal decoration.

What makes this Dragon wall plaque special
The head faces forward, the mane surrounds it like a wreath of flames and leaves, and there is a pearl in the open mouth. The design is hand-engraved, and the niello is fired, making it stand out dark against the silver.
The Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac
The dragon is the fifth animal; its character is 龙 (lóng). In Chinese folk belief, it is considered a lucky animal and a symbol of the Emperor.
For Dragon birth years, studies, and the New Year
For the milestone birthdays of those born in 1976, 1988, and 2000, it is a lasting piece. It appears calm and darkly elegant above a desk or in a study.
In a dark frame like the Tiger
Unlike the snake, horse, and goat, the dragon is hung in a dark wooden frame. This frame is also featured on the Tiger wall plaque.
Care for silver and frame
Wipe off dust with a dry cloth.

1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, and 2024; the next is 2036. Depending on the date of the Chinese New Year, those born in January or early February may belong to the previous year's animal.

Commonly, the pearl represents wisdom and happiness.
How do I hang the Dragon and Tiger together?

Can I request an engraving?
You can add the engraving service flat rate to your order. We will subsequently check if and where an engraving is possible and coordinate the text with you; otherwise, we will refund the fee. Instead of an engraving, we can provide a complimentary SilberVerse card—a verse tailored to the occasion, name, and mood—upon request.
