Wall Picture Horseshoe “We Wish You Luck” — Nielloa CLASSIC, 925 Si...
A Wish for Luck in Silver
Description
The wall picture “We Wish You Luck” shows a slender horseshoe in 925 sterling silver with a round small loop at the tip, fine tendrils in hand-engraved niello across the top arch and a smooth round field at the crown. On the left and right, in flowing Russian script, are the words “Желаем счастья”, in English “We wish you luck”. It is framed in a light, bronze-colored frame with a white edge, set against gray-blue velvet.
For moving into a first home of your own. For a fresh start after a hard year. For everyone you wish good luck without needing many words.

A Greeting That Stays
The inscription is not mere decoration but a phrase people in Russia say at birthdays, weddings and housewarmings. Here it is engraved beside the tendrils that run across both arms. The silver is polished bright, and the lines are filled with niello, standing out dark against it.
Small but Fine: the Size
At around 15 centimeters along each side, the picture is about the size of a saucer. It looks best on a chest of drawers, in a bookcase or on a desk. If you are looking for a large picture for an empty wall, this is not the one; if you want a fine piece to look at up close, it is right.
Who You Give It To
For a housewarming, it takes the place of the horseshoe over the door. For finishing an apprenticeship, opening a business or the turn of the year, it carries the same wish. If you have Russian roots, you read the greeting without translation, and everyone else gets it explained.
Care
Remove dust dry with a soft brush. You can find more about the technique in the article Nielloa explained; home remedies such as aluminum foil or baking soda attack the niello.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Wall Picture “We Wish You Luck”
What does the Russian inscription mean?
“Желаем счастья” means “We wish you luck”, a common greeting at celebrations.
Why does the opening point downward?
Customs differ: upward so the luck does not fall out, downward so it falls on the people below. Both directions are considered lucky.
Does it go with other horseshoe motifs?
Yes, for example with the Lucky Horseshoe wall picture with grapevines.
Is the greeting also available in German or English?
Yes, as a special order. If you wish, the manufacturer engraves "We wish you luck" in German, English or Spanish. We agree on the wording with you first, SevChern draws a sketch, and production starts once you have approved it and paid. More under Personalized gifts.
Can the picture be engraved?
We check this with the manufacturer in Veliky Ustyug in advance. If you order the engraving service flat fee along with it and an engraving is not possible, you get the amount refunded. A personal verse is also carried by the SilberVerse card, which we include free of charge on request.
