Silver Cup with Porcelain Insert, 925 Silver, Gold-Plated — Hop

White porcelain, set in silver: a cup for unhurried coffee. This silver cup with porcelain insert has a 925 silver holder with a niello band; the foot and handle are gold-plated. It holds approx. 50 ml and comes in a gift box. The pattern comes from a design of 1969. Coffee lovers, birthday celebrants and Christmas guests will be delighted.

Silver cup with porcelain insert: white in a silver holder

The white porcelain insert has a flared rim. The silver holder is cut out in a V shape at the top, so the white remains visible. The foot and handle are gold-plated. The porcelain comes from the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St Petersburg and bears the factory’s mark on the base.

More cups for coffee are shown among the silver coffee and tea cups.

Niello band and gold: the holder in detail

The niello band on the silver holder is engraved by hand; the porcelain next to it remains smooth and white.

Niello is ink in silver: a black that sits in the engraved lines. Next to the bright porcelain it looks especially deep.

Hop is a climbing plant that finds hold on a support. As an image, this suits two people who carry each other and grow together.

For coffee lovers: a cup that lets you see the coffee

The light insert shows the coffee as soon as you pour. With its capacity, the cup is intended for espresso and mocha, not for the big mug in the morning.

For a birthday it suits someone who drinks their coffee in peace. At Christmas it stands among wood and candles, and the white catches the light.

Extending the line: add a saucer and spoon

A saucer and a spoon go with the cup; together they form the place setting with porcelain cup. Two of these are included in the set for two, so you can start with one piece.

Engraving after checking: the silver holder, not the porcelain

The silver holder can be considered for an engraving after checking with the manufacturer; the porcelain does not carry one.

Feel free to send us your request in advance by email or WhatsApp, or use the “order note at checkout”. Before anything is made, SevChern checks the execution. We then decide on lettering and layout together with you. If the check is negative, we refund the amount, and if you wish, we pick out another piece for you.

A verse suits the gift: the SilberVerse is included free on request, as a 15 × 10 cm photo card, created individually for the occasion and name.

Care: silver holder, foot and handle

Care for the silver holder with water and a soft cloth, without polishing: the foot and handle have only a thin gold plating. You should avoid the dishwasher.
