Psalm 91 Bracelet in 925 Silver — Orthodox Bracelet with Cross and Prayer Text

Which prayer do you wear on your wrist every day? This Orthodox bracelet made of 925 sterling silver features the full text of Psalm 91 on the outside and an Orthodox cross with three crossbars. It is a wide men's cuff bracelet with a clasp. The SevChern silver manufactory produces it in sizes 18, 19, and 20.

Is your husband's name day approaching? Is your brother becoming a godfather? Or are you looking for a piece for your father that he will actually wear and not put in a drawer?

A Prayer in Long Lines: What Sets This Orthodox Bracelet Apart

The psalm runs in long lines around the entire bracelet, framed by a fine line and a wave ornament. Where the text splits, the Orthodox cross stands: three crossbars, the lower one slanted. The blackened lettering in the style of Old Church Slavonic letters reads like a page from an old prayer book. With a width of around two centimeters, the bracelet is a substantial piece that looks calm and strong on a man's wrist.

What Does an Orthodox Bracelet Mean?

The best-known Orthodox bracelet is the prayer rope with 33 knots, an aid for silent prayer. This bracelet takes a different approach: instead of knots, it carries the prayer itself. Psalm 91 is considered a psalm of protection; in the Luther Bible, it begins with "He who sits under the shadow of the Almighty". In the Orthodox Church, it is Psalm 90, because they count according to the Greek Bible.

Choosing the Right Size

The bracelet is available in three sizes, which you select directly when ordering. The number corresponds to the length of the bracelet in centimeters. Measure the circumference of your wrist with a measuring tape beforehand. If you are unsure which size fits, write to us before ordering, and we will help you choose.

Engraving and Care

The outside of the bracelet is completely covered with text. The inside is matte. For initials or a date on the inside, we will inquire with SevChern: the manufactory decides whether and how the engraving can be implemented, and only then will we confirm it for you. In addition, there is the SilberVerse card, available free of charge upon request: a short verse that we write in the name of the recipient. A dry, soft cloth is sufficient for care. Silver dip and polishing paste can take away the contrast of the dark lettering.
