Silver Baby Rattle 925 Cat — Handle Shape, Engraving Panel

A cat with pointed ears, whiskers and a bow around her neck sits at the end of the handle of this silver rattle in 925 sterling silver. Right at the bottom, at the end of the grip, lies a smooth oval into which a short name, a date or initials can be engraved. It comes from the Italian workshop Zaramella Argenti.

Silver Cat Baby Rattle: Bow, Whiskers, Sitting Pose

The rattle shows the cat as an animal figure in polished silver: she looks straight ahead, her ears stand pointed, and whiskers are worked into the muzzle. A bow lies around her neck, its end swinging out to the side, and grooves run down the body. Cats are considered graceful and strong-willed; whether you relate that to a newborn remains a matter of interpretation.

The weight is approx. 25 g and the length approx. 12 cm; both can differ slightly from piece to piece.

Ornamental Handle with an Engraving Panel: the Place for the Name

Below the cat, the handle narrows to a slim neck with rings. Below that, leafy tendrils and a row of fine beads run down to the end of the grip, where a smooth oval is framed by the ornaments; right at the bottom hangs the loop.

The oval has room for up to 10 characters: “Mila”, a date such as 04.11.26 or two initials. Engraving is done only there; the cat and the ornament stay as they are. The name of the fee promises 20 characters, but this panel is smaller, so 10 apply.

This is how you order: put the rattle and the engraving service fee into the cart together, and that is it. Any questions about the wording come from us afterwards. If the engraving cannot be done on the piece or the price of the fee does not fit, you get the fee back. Engraving extends delivery by 1 to 3 working days, and because engraved goods are excluded from the right of withdrawal, it is worth taking a second look at the spelling and the date.

More words than ten characters? Then ask for the SilberVerse card, free on request: with the help of AI, your details become a verse of three to four lines, tailored to the occasion and the name, in a language other than German if you like. You receive it as a photo card, printed in landscape format at 15 × 10 cm, in a standard frame in silver, white or black.

Silver Cat Rattle for a Birth, Christening and Baby Shower

Grandparents and godparents like to give something with the child’s name at a birth: the oval takes the first name or the date of birth. For a christening, the day of the christening fits; for a baby shower the oval stays free in case the name is not yet decided. Parents who live with a cat themselves will find in the figure a motif that suits the nursery. For a first birthday, the date of that day can be engraved.

The Same Cat on the Teething Ring

With her bow, the cat also hangs on the pearl-white acrylic ring: the teething ring with a cat cannot be engraved. The tomcat, flat and on a smooth handle, remains a motif of its own. The lion and the tiger also sit on a smooth, engravable handle. All the rattles can be found among the silver baby rattles.

Care: the Ornament with a Soft Brush

Lukewarm water and a little mild washing-up liquid, then rub dry with a soft cloth. You can reach into the tendrils with a soft brush. If the silver turns dull, a silver polishing cloth helps; the dishwasher is out of the question.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Silver Rattle with a Cat

Does the cat have a face on the back as well?
No. The face belongs to the front; the back of the figure is designed in its own way and looks different.

How much fits on the oval, and how does the order work?
Up to 10 characters, such as a first name or a date. The engraving service fee goes into the cart together with the rattle; we discuss the rest with you after the order.

How does the cat differ from the tomcat?
The cat is a sculpted figure with a bow and an engraving panel; the tomcat is a flat silhouette on a smooth handle with room for up to 20 characters. The cat is also available on the teething ring.

What do I give for a christening if the name should appear in the silver?
A rattle with an engraving panel like this one, a cup or a spoon. You will find a selection among the gifts for a christening, and ideas in the guide to personalised christening gifts.

Does the rattle arrive packaged?
Yes, every piece comes in a fine gift box. Its design may change from time to time, but it stays ready to give.

Is the silver rattle with cat made of hallmarked silver?
The silver rattle with cat is hallmarked and bears a fineness stamp (hallmark). We're happy to send you photos in advance. It also comes with the maker's certificate card.
