Silver Baby Rattle 925 Elephant — Ball Head with Engraving Panels

An elephant appears in relief on a silver ball, followed below by a decorated handle with two engraving panels on one side, recommended one for the name, one for the date or the occasion. The rattle is made of 925 sterling silver; the manufacturer is Zaramella Argenti, a workshop in Italy.

Silver Elephant Rattle with a Ball Head: Relief on Both Halves

The rattle head is a domed ball, not a flat disc. The elephant stands out on it with a round head, a large ear and a curled trunk, surrounded by a finely dotted background. The relief is the same on both sides, as if two halves of a ball with the same picture had been joined together; so you do not have to look for a front.

The handle carries scrolls and foliage, with two smooth panels between them on one side. A small eyelet sits below the ball. Length approx. 12 cm, weight approx. 25 g, which differs slightly from piece to piece.

Elephant Rattle with Engraving: Two Engraving Panels for Name and Date

Two panels on one side of the handle, two engravings: we recommend the first name in one, the date or the occasion in the other. The panels are narrow, so the entries should be short: a first name here, a date there, or initials. Spaces do not count as characters and are not charged. How much fits in each individual case is something we check against your wording.

The engraving service fee is the second item in the cart next to the rattle. Afterwards we go through the entry with you, without any approval being needed beforehand. If the engraving cannot be done on the piece, we refund the fee. For delivery, allow 1 to 3 working days more. Goods with engraving are excluded from the right of withdrawal, so check the spelling and the date once more before you send off your order.

If you want to say more than two panels can hold, request the SilberVerse card as well: it is free and created on request. You tell us the name, the occasion and the language you would like, and with the help of AI these become three to four lines of verse and the card design. What you receive is a photo card in landscape format (15 × 10 cm) together with a standard frame, in silver, white or black.

Ball Head or Smooth Handle: How the Elephants Differ

If you like the elephant as a face in relief and want to set the name and the date separately, this is the right choice. The elephant rattle with a smooth handle, by contrast, puts the figure in the foreground and offers a free surface on the handle. The elephant on the acrylic ring comes without engraving. The same design with a ball head and two engraving panels is also available with a train: two children, two motifs, one rattle shape that belongs together.

For a Christening and a Birth, for Godparents and Grandparents

Godparents appreciate the two panels because the date of the christening can stand next to the name without one taking space from the other. Grandparents appreciate the elephant's symbolism of luck and family cohesion, with their grandchild's first name in the first panel. For a baby shower where the name is not yet known, you simply bring it along unengraved.

Caring for Ornaments and Relief

Dust and finger grease settle between the relief and the scrolls. A soft brush and a dry cloth remove both. A silver polishing cloth helps with tarnish; otherwise lukewarm water with a mild washing-up liquid by hand is enough; the dishwasher is not for the rattle. Children's hands only reach for it under supervision.

Questions and Answers about the Elephant Rattle with a Ball Head

Does the back of the ball also show the elephant?
Yes. The relief is the same on both sides, as with two halves of a ball that carry the same motif.

What can be entered in the two panels?
We recommend two engravings, first name and date or occasion, one panel each on one side of the handle; initials are also possible. Spaces do not count as characters and are not charged. You put the engraving service fee into the cart with the rattle; we clarify the details after the order.

What does the elephant stand for with a baby?
In many cultures, it is a symbol of luck standing for strength, memory and the community of the herd. That is an interpretation that gives the gift weight without promising anything.

Is the ball or the smooth elephant rattle the better choice?
That depends on the wording. Two separate details fit on the handle of the ball rattle, a longer name fits better on the smooth handle rattle. More silver for a christening can be found among the christening gifts.

Does the rattle come to me packed?
Yes, in a fine gift box in which you can hand it over straight away; the design of the box may change. Gift wrapping is available on request. Within Germany there are no shipping costs, and delivery takes 3 to 5 working days.

Does the elephant ball rattle have a hallmark, i.e. a fineness stamp?
Yes, the elephant ball rattle is hallmarked. The piece includes the maker's certificate card. If you'd like photos in advance, we're happy to send them to you.
