Silver Baby Rattle 925 Lion — Smooth Handle, Engravable

The lion looks up at you: his mane has a wavy, jagged edge, his face lies in a heart-shaped frame, and below it rest two round paws. The rattle is made of 925 sterling silver, its handle is smooth and polished and takes an engraving of up to 20 characters. It comes from Zaramella Argenti in Italy.

Silver Lion Baby Rattle: Mane, Face and Paws

Seen from the front, the mane fills the upper part of the figure, its edge shaped in waves and points. Inside lies the face: two small dots as eyes, below them a Y of fine lines for nose and mouth. Lines divide the body, the paws lie on the left and right, and at the side of the base of the handle hangs a small ring, the loop.

The figure is worked flat. The lion is regarded as a symbol of courage and strength, an interpretation you can lend to the motif; it is not a quality the child receives through it. The rattle weighs approx. 18.5 g and measures approx. 12 cm, both with small differences from piece to piece.

Engraving on the Smooth Handle: Name, Date, Initials

On this lion rattle in silver, the handle carries the engraving: drop-shaped, without ornament, polished to a high shine. Up to 20 characters are engraved, a first name, a date or both in short form.

The rattle and the engraving service fee belong together in the cart. You do not have to clarify anything beforehand; only after the order do we settle the lettering with you. If the engraving cannot be done or the fee does not cover the effort, we refund it. With engraving the rattle arrives 1 to 3 working days later, and as engraved goods it is excluded from the right of withdrawal.

A verse to go with it? The SilberVerse card is available on request at no cost: with the help of AI, your details about the occasion and the name become three to four lines, also possible in another language. It is printed in landscape format on photo paper, size 15 × 10 cm; the card comes in the standard frame, which is available in silver, white or black.

Who the Lion Suits: Birth, Christening, First Birthday

For a birth the lion gets the first name on the silver, for a christening the date of the christening, for a first birthday the day on which the child turns one. The motif is meant for boys and girls alike. If the baby is born between 23 July and 23 August, the lion is an obvious choice: it takes up the animal of the zodiac sign and attributes nothing to the child. It is not a zodiac silver rattle in the narrower sense, it is a lion, and anyone who has the zodiac sign in mind simply reads it that way.

The Same Lion on the Teething Ring

The lion on the pearl-white acrylic ring is also flat and carries the same mane with a jagged edge, but cannot be engraved. The handle rattle is the choice if the name should be in the silver. The family also includes the tomcat, cat and tiger.

How to Keep the Mane Beautiful

Wash the points of the mane by hand with lukewarm water, mild washing-up liquid and a soft cloth; whatever collects in between can be loosened with a cloth around your fingertip. A silver polishing cloth polishes tarnished silver. Dishwasher: no.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Lion Baby Rattle in Silver

What does the back of the lion show?
The face exists only on the front; at the back the flat surface stays without a face.

Does the lion rattle suit the zodiac sign Leo?
It takes up the animal of the zodiac sign without promising any qualities. More about character and gift ideas can be found in the guide to the zodiac sign Leo; for births in July and August, the gifts for a birth offer more ideas.

How do I get a name onto the handle?
Put the engraving service fee into the cart with the rattle; we talk about the wording afterwards. The smooth handle takes up to 20 characters.

Can the lion on the teething ring be engraved as well?
No. The flat silhouette on the pearl-white acrylic ring has no free surface; for a name, the SilberVerse card remains.

Does the lion already come in packaging?
Yes, in a fine gift box that is meant for giving. Its appearance may change.

Does the lion baby rattle bear a hallmark?
The lion baby rattle bears a fineness stamp (hallmark); the silver is hallmarked. If you would like to see photos before ordering, we're happy to send them to you. The maker's certificate card is included.
