In Germany, the pig is considered a lucky charm. The piglet on this spoon wears a grid pattern over its body, small curves curl around the figure.
It stands upright and looks cheerful. The lines are finely engraved and gilded.
Under the bowl: Why you turn the spoon
The drawing is located on the underside of the bowl. During eating, it remains hidden.
It only becomes noticeable when the spoon lies with the bowl facing down. Then the gilded piglet flashes on the bright silver.
Niello on the handle: Contrast that grows with polishing
Under the name Nielloa, we offer pieces with genuine niello inlay. Niello refers to the technique, Nielloa to the brand. When you polish the piece, the contrast of silver and flower deepens.
A selection from this line is shown in the Nielloa christening gifts.
