Description
Who wakes up the morning here? A rooster that only appears when turned over. This children's spoon made of 925 silver shows it as a gilded drawing under the bowl. The niello blossom at the handle end stands out darkly on the light silver. It is perfect for the first porridge, a christening, and a birth.
For the occasion
A rooster for the first porridge
You can find more silver gifts for the christening day in the corresponding category.
Christening: Ideas in silverRooster with feathered tail: A picture like from a picture book
The rooster has a comb, a round body, and a large, curved tail. Small blossoms stand around it.
Everything is engraved with fine lines and gilded. The tail is the most striking feature: It unfurls like a fan of feathers.
The rooster at the breakfast table: What the spoon tells
The rooster crows in the day. That is why it is perfect for the spoon for the morning porridge.
The drawing lies under the bowl and remains hidden while eating. When the spoon is put down afterwards, the rooster lights up on the table.
Dark blossom, light drawing: Niello as a counterpart
Niello is the name of the technique, and Nielloa is our brand for it. Without niello, the blossom on the handle would only be an engraving. With niello, it gets depth and sharp edges.
It is engraved by hand in Weliki Ustjug. You can find more from this line in the Nielloa christening gifts.
Rooster spoon with dedication: Engraving or card?
You have two options. The first option is engraving with up to 20 characters on the back of the handle. The engraving service is ordered as a separate item. If it cannot be engraved, the flat rate will be refunded. Your wording is entered in the "note at checkout".
The second option is the SilberVerse card, a verse on 15 × 10 cm photo paper, free of charge upon request. Both can be combined.
Rooster children's spoon: Questions about silver and selection
What is the silver content of silver cutlery?
The rooster spoon is made of 925 sterling silver. The number indicates the silver content in thousandths. Sterling is considered the standard for silver cutlery. The guide What is niello? provides information about the drawing on the handle.
What does the rooster stand for?
As an image, the rooster is considered the caller of the morning. There is nothing more to it; on the spoon, it looks cheerful.
What distinguishes the rooster, piglet, and horse?
Only the animal under the bowl. The shape, blossom, and size are the same. Look at the piglet and the horse if you would like to compare.
How do I store the silver spoon?
Dry and in a soft cloth. Do not leave it loose with hard cutlery so that nothing scratches.
